February 24, 2008Hey guys , people that know me , knows that i always had to borrow my father-in-laws ford to tow my xj when we go wheelin. the only reason i like to tow it is alittle saying i like , you never know what might happen!! (on the trail that is) well i saw a truck get traded in at my dealership i work at and when i found out what they had in it, i jumped on it. well now i can go when and where i want. i got me a 2004 FORD F250 Superduty.

February 25, 2008screw the 6's steve its all bout the new 7.3's they are sexy i love eveyrtime i get to drive em. til they are like do an oil change nd then it and its 15 quarts of oil suck a dick
February 25, 2008the new 7.3? man they must make different fords in your world. the old 7.3 and the new 6.4 maybe?
you will enjoy the 5.4 much more than a 6.0 from a "not being left on the side of the road" standpoint.
personally i like the 6.0's because they make me money
if you need any help anytime etc pm me.....been at a for dealer about 8 years......
February 26, 2008I knew it was a 6.0 or 5.4 due to the year, Just could not tell by the pic. As for the 5.4, the one we had in the excursion was great except for gas mileage. It was strong and pulled the trailer well. At this point I am real happy I got the 7.3 when I did (02). The early 6.0 seemed to have issues. Russ's 05 F350 has been a good one though. I would be so leary of the new 6.4 as well. Seems like with every issue Ford has the value of the 7.3 goes up . OH and the 15 quart oil change is a little tough, but worth it
February 26, 2008We see new Fords broken down right outside the Ford dealership down the road from us...
February 26, 2008yep.... the 6.4 is having a lot better start than the 6.0 by far. but we still get a few in. personally i wouldnt own a 6.0. id rather have a 7.3 with twice the mileage. the 5.4 is a good one. worked on one the other day with 400k on it......well it was on its last leg...but still running
