January 27, 2008Went snow wheeling Saturday, with the Colorado Jeep Club. Went to Slaughterhouse Gulch.
7 rigs showed up for the snow ride.
It takes a lot of "Jeep" to be confortable playing in the snow. There were 7 of us, 5 were Rubicons 1 was my Yj and a Grand made up the consist(to use a railroad word). All of us were lockered and had aggressive tires aired down. It was still a interesting trail.
Colorado Jeep Club has a tradition: We own a gold colored cow bell that goes on every ride. The last person to take strap or winch cable is awarded the golden cow bell, To be prowdly worn on the Jeeps grill till the next strapper.
Club member Pat(and his '06 Rubicon) ended up with the clubs cow bell for taking strap. The cow bell is his 'till the next ride when someone else takes strap. He was trash talking too, at the trail head. Shoulda saw his face when he was given the bell...not trash talkin now...
Poor Pat...Cow bell city.
