August 7, 2007SO that roll on stuff works good then? thats what I was looking at...I' haven't decided on a brand yet, but I'll probably check that one out.
August 7, 2007I will agree that it gets slippery as hell when wet. We've got floor mats in Mud Spyder's jeep, just to avoid some of the slipping. I know that my Reef flip flops and my Etnies skater shoes don't grip well.
We bought cheap 10 or 15 dollar floor mats, and they work fine, and limit excessive slipping and busting ass falling out of a 6" lifted jeep
August 7, 2007Ive got the same problem with the hot floorboard after the durabak liner, just take the doors off and it circulates enough air to not have to worry about the heat...its mainly on the passenger side though so it sucks for them
August 7, 2007I have an aluminum skin under mine with an air gap in between. It covers the firewall & and everything underneath except for the tunnel. Have not had any heat issues on the floor boars or the firewall.
You can see by these pics.
August 7, 2007I have the same problem with my XJ , only the trans tunnel gets as hot as the passenger side from the radiant heat of the engine and transmission. I read something in JP magazine about a product that reflects the heat but I forgot what its called and cannot find the issue with it.
