March 26, 2007a friend of mine has an 01 XJ w/ a 3.5" lift. what are the biggest tires he can fit on this? he is currently runnin 31s and wants to squeeze as big of a tire as possible w/o anymore lift and minimal rubbing.

March 26, 2007265/75 R16 (32.6" x 10.4") should fit pretty comfortable. that's what I got.
March 27, 2007ive got bfg 32 11.50s but after alot of spring settling and more weight ive had to do alot of cutting, nothing to ruin the exterior look of the vehicle though. Just dont put a massive bumper like mine on and you should be grand. And steer clear of too much backspacing. Ive got 3.75 back spacing so they end up hitting the top of the fender instead of tucking inside it. My bushwackers should take care of that problem.
March 27, 2007265-75-r16, same thing as rover said..i wuv mine
March 27, 2007I have +5 offset wheels. haven't tested the wheel travel yet though.
March 27, 2007I used to run 31x10.50's with a 3.5" lift. It worked good...did the Rubicon with that set up. 265's will work too I'm sure. Wheel offset is the killer as you begin to run the control arms as the tires get wider on the stock wheels.
Id rather be in Moab. Rubicon...been there, want to do it again and again!
