August 19, 2006I have a '02 Jeep Grand Cherokee With the 4.0. I Live in colorado so there are a lot of hills just on the roads. I am looking for a way to get some more gas mileage out of it without doing anything to drastic. I think just some more power will do it. I am buying a cold air intake and puting an exhaust on it. Is there any other suggestions anyone could give me?

August 19, 2006Welcome to the site. An intake and exhaust "should" do it. A VERY GOOD tune up and very careful watching of tire inflation will help as much if not more. A few more pounds in the tires will make a difference. Don't run premium, just enough octane to keep it from spark knocking.
The 4.0 was never known for killer MPG's but those will help it out some I think.
