November 12, 2011.. and yep, it`s a Toyota FJ. it was time to get a new car for the wife, and we were originally looking at the 350/370z but that was too low for her and now likes sitting up high. So fast forward to last week and I get a call saying that she likes the FJ. So far I have to say it`s a nice drive on the road though I`m not allowed to take on the trail just yet. And we did get the 4x4 package that comes with the locker, blah, blah. Not that this will replace the jk but I could wheel it

November 12, 2011Really can`t beat the build quality of `Yota.
Went to Moab this April with a Toyota club and wheeled a couple trails with the FJ`s. We did Golden Spike, which was a workout for them, none were stock, but they made it. They mod nicely BTW...I like my lockers and suspension better though.
I bought myself a 2010 Corolla that just turned 20,000 miles. I am kind of wishing I wouldn`t have bought the extended warranty for mine. Don`t think it will need it.
If you are looking for an American made car...Toyota is pretty good.
November 13, 2011Hey Andy...nice ride. Looking forward to seeing it in person!!
November 13, 2011I couldn`t get my wife to look at them. She went with a new grand Cherokee.
91 YJ with just enough mods to make me a danger to myself....
November 13, 2011Thanks Tom.
Steve91yj: yeah, my wife had a love/hate relationship when she first saw them, for some reason they don`t look right to her without the racks. Also I do have to say that you do feel higher up in the FJ, just like the JK.
November 15, 2011Very nice. We are thinking on a JK or a FJ for the wife in the next year or two!
