I put at 3in suspension lift on my 2004 TJ Sport and now at higher speeds(40-60mph) it sometimes starts shaking really bad. Yes only sometimes. The kit came with new coil spring, shocks, 1in transfer case drop, rear drop bracket for trac arm and I relocated the front trac arm by drilling a new hole. I took it to the alignment shop after install to get it aligned and had them look at it. Everything is tight and nothing appears out of the ordinary. It may go days with nothing then all of a sudden it shakes. Its not the roads because it does it at completely random times and roads. I read some of the forums for the "death wobble" but just want to get an opinion on what yall think. Now for the question. What do you think could be the cause and do you think I may need a SYE?Forums : Suspension : Vibes after lift (2165 Views)

There are MANY reasons for Death Wobble. Usually a loose trac bar is the prime candidate, but since you checked that, maybe its something else. Any loose like ball joints, tie rod ends, even mis-balanced tires. I can tell you the even though an SYE may be in order after the lift, it WON`T cure death wobble. If at first you don`t secede try, try again!

I bought a new adjustable trac bar and replaced my OE stabilizer with a heavier duty one. Have not had any vibes since! Keeping my fingers crossed.![]() |
